We Need to Pray Like Never Before...

Last Tuesday, I attended the launch of the 40 day fast & pray in SIBKL. And when the pastor came up to share on what we should pray for Malaysia, it really hit me. Here are some of the things that we should pray for:

1. Pray for Jehovah Shalom to rule & reign over Malaysia. In other words, Malaysia needs the peace of God. (Judges 6:24)
2. Pray against idolatry in the churches. That's right, in the churches itself. Not outside of the church. The churches need to come back to God first. (Judges 6:25)
3. Pray for key leaders to rise up. The leaders should have these characteristics: strength, faith and unafraid of the truth.
4. Pray for committed warriors to be enlisted. Characteristics: watchful, armed and resilient.
5. Pray for the trumpet call to be sounded nationwide. The trumpet is to rally and unite God's people as well as to usher in the presence of God. (Zechariah 9:9)
6. Pray for the torch to be revealed. The torch was initially hidden in a jar, so the jar has to be broken for the glory of God to shine through us. The jar being us, refers to the lifestyle that we lead.

So do pray, like you've never prayed before. The days are evil.
