Can you believe how corrupted the police in this country can get? I went to the police station at Jalan Bandar today to pay my boss's saman. And when I reached the counter, I asked the lady if the saman can be reduced. And she said that I have to go to the branch in Seri Kembangan. Fine, so I called Alice who was driving me whether she wants to go to the branch in Seri Kembangan. And she said fine too. So I asked the lady at the counter where is the branch in Seri Kembangan. And she said that she's not sure. Then she asked a policeman who was standing nearby where the branch was. And he was like, give it to me-lah, I can settle it for you. But you'll have to wait 2 days for the receipt. Then he started to explain that it will be inconvenient for me to run all over the place and that he'll settle for me for RM200. I started to doubt then..but I just gave him the money. Then he started to say that the saman's can be settled for only RM150 but the other RM50 will be for him. So I decided against it and went to the Seri Kembangan branch instead. Over there the lady said I can't rayu here and I've to go to the one near Equine Park but she gave me the form to rayu. So I went over to the one in Equine Park and left the form there. The guy there said I've to come and collect it tomorrow and then go over to the police station in Puchong to pay the saman. I know I'm going through a lot of trouble, but I think we should all not submit to the norms of the society and just rasuah the policeman. We will never be able to curb the problem if we continue to encourage them by giving rasuah. So say NO to them!! P/S: I'm so mad at them for doing this! Maybe coz it's my first time experiencing it...Sigh

An eventful day...
Wow, what a day I had!! I started out in the morning by going to Shah Alam with Alwin and Wykit to submit some drawings to the Suruhanjaya Komunikasi & Multimedia. Just as I was about to pay at the Batu Tiga toll, I didn't balance my clutch properly and my engine just died. So I tried to restart it. But the moment I turn the key in the ignition and there were no sound whatsoever...Uh-oh! I knew that my car battery was dead! For the record, it was my brother's car, not mine. XD. The lady at the toll had to open the barrier and let me through. My two good friends had to push my car out of the way and the nearest place they could push was to in between two toll booths. So we nicely placed the car there and opened the bonnet to check what was the cause of it not being able to start while people were just passing us by and wondering what has happened to us. Then after looking at the car for awhile and calling AAM, we decided to just push the car to the side of the road (we were at the third booth from the side of the road). Then since we were at the side of the road already, and there was enough space for us to push start the car...I told them to try it. And it works. So we had to call AAM again and tell them not to come. Wonder why I know how to push start a car? Well, thanks to my negligence (of not switching off the headlights), my car battery also died on Saturday. Hehe. Now that is another story altogether. Now that the car's started, we went hunting for a place to buy a new battery. After rounding for awhile we finally found a place. But the battery cost me RM250. Damn that's expensive. And thanks to Alwin asking whether I had enough cash to pay or not, I totally forgot that I have a credit card. Which should be used in situations like this. But anyway, after our stint of pushing the car and looking for a place to get the battery, we decided to just stop by a mamak for breakfast. And there we are.

Happy Birthday Dad!
Today's my dad's birthday. Following our family tradition, birthdays call for a cake and a nice dinner somewhere. For the last 3 months, we've been going to The Ship for our family dinner. Dad decided that we should go somewhere else for a change. So off we went to Victoria Station. Seeing that we've had so many bad experiences in Victoria Station before, I was a little apprehensive to have our dinner there. But the food turned out to be really good. It was very different from the previous times that we've been there. But then again, this is our first time eating at this branch. Ok, why am I ranting about the food when I should be talking about my dad?
Nothing like a good family photo ending
*Ahem*
What Makes a Dad God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so,
He called it ... Dad
