I went, I saw and I STOMPED!!!

Hahaha...Ok...I finally went for my mission trip and now I'm back!Actually I came back like a week ago but life was hectic for the last one week...I came back and my mom just threw me this piece of news that Nick and Stacey's wedding was like this Saturday and she was roped in to help with the flowers...Ok...So then we were running around like mad women...

But going back to the mission trip, I had a lot of fun and I learnt a lot of things about myself...And I turned out to be different than what I thought I was...Oh boy...I really learned to enjoy the beauty of God's creation too...I was travelling down this river and I just looked around me and saw how beautiful the swamp, the river and the sky with the birds in it was...And how I wish that I can see all these more often...But there was a downside to it though...They were doing logging along the river...So that kinda spoils the beauty of the place...
Oh, and I had some "exotic" food as well...I had a mouse deer for lunch and terrapin for dinner...Haha...It tasted pretty good...Well I really thank God that I wasn't in the other team that went...They were made to eat monkey meat without knowing that it's monkey meat...They were told that it was wild boar...
Ok...I'm just too lazy to continue my story...If you wanna know more just come talk to me or something...I gotta go...

Send me...

I know I know...I haven't been blogging for a looong time...Sorry people...I've just been too busy...Anyway...I just returned from church camp a few days ago...And now I'm feeling a bit under the weather...I think this is due to me stressing myself out during camp...Plus...I was taking care of the kids too...They were pretty fun and most of them were quite easy to handle too...Dun mind taking this job up in the next church camp...Hehe...
Oh...Did I mentioned that my room was invaded by bees on the last day of camp?Crazy man...And I didn't realise...I was too tired...I just hopped onto bed and did my quite time and fell asleep...Then in comes Sue Yin, whom I'm sharing the room with...And she woke me up and told me that there were bees in the room and asked me to move over to the other dorm...Thank God for her or else I would have been sleeping with the bees for company! And I am afraid of bees...Had a bad experience with it...Gah!
I'm gonna be going for my mission trip in like 9 days...Oh boy! Am I excited...But I don't know if I'm really ready for it...But what the heck...I'll just go where ever God wants to take me...Just like what Isaiah said to God:
Isaiah 6:8
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here I am. Send me!"

So send me...I will go...

The simple joys of life...

Ok ok...It's been two weeks since I've blogged...I didn't even realize that my chat box got deleted! And now that I'm having holidays, I can't even use the excuse that I'm busy not to blog...Hehehe...But anyway...I think I had a pretty exciting day today...I was practically out of the house the whole day...
We went to Port Dickson today, Adrian, Sue Yin, Yew Meng and I...Well, it wasn't really for fun but it's more of checking out the campsite...But unfortunately the caretaker's not in and the gates were locked...Imagine that, we drove all the way down there and we couldn't even step into the compound...Oh, by the way Port Dickson's about an hour's drive away...But we had fun at the beach...We weren't exactly playing in the water and all but we were walking along the beach together...Just enjoying the simple joys of life...Ahh...really nice...
And when I was walking along the beach I just recalled the story about when we're down there's only one set of footprints instead of two...That's because when we're down God is carrying us in His arms...And Adrian told me that the title of the story is "Footprints in the Sand"...I think this little trip to PD has reminded me about the simple things in life...You know sometimes things get hectic around us and we just concentrate on getting the things done and we've forgotten all about the simple joys in life...Sigh...
And something miraculous happened while we were praying for Auntie Dai May's introduction to intercession class...She got a group of us young people to get together to pray...And while we were praying I saw fire coming down from the heavens and Sue Ann saw angels standing behind Auntie Dai May who is speaking...Wow...And we both started singing the same song at the same instant...I know it may sound like a coincident but it's not...
On a lighter note, I went furniture shopping with Lai Yee for my new house last week...I think it was quite a fruitful attempt...I managed to get a bed and a shelf...Yippee...Now all that's left is my study table and cupboard...Well...One at a time, one at a time...Yeah...And Sieh Jin's getting married next week...I'm so excited...And I'm going back to Penang for his wedding...It's gonna be fun! But I still can't think of what to wear...Darn...Well...Anyway...That's it for now...
P/S: I was introduced to this really nice Christian band...Jars of Clay...Should go listen to it sometime...

I am free...

Ok, ok...My finals are finally over...And Easter's over too...I'm finally settled down enough to blog again...Yay! Anyway...A little update on the Easter sketch...It went really well...And I believe the sketch did touch a few people in the congregation and they cried...Can you imagine that? Due to our mediocre acting people actually cried? I guess it's because God was working through us...But I'm really glad that they got the message that we're trying to speak through the act...Praise God for that...
On the other hand...I'm rejoicing coz my finals are finally over...Try putting yourself into my shoes...On Monday, nearly everyone I know has finished their finals...But...I was only halfway through...And now...After most people I know have already been five days into their holidays...I'm finally done...Finished...Finito...
Oh, and did I mention that I've decided to sort of do my industrial training in this two and a half months hols? Hence the hunting around for an example of an application letter and cv that I can use to write mine...Oh...About this...I really gotta thank Raph and Wen Li...Thanks so much guys! So by God's grace, I'll be able to get this job and hopefully much experience too...Haha...Kinda looking forward to it...
So I guess that's about it from me...Hope to be able to blog more often now that I'm on holiday...

One day a while back, a man, his heart heavy with grief, was walking in the woods. As he thought about his life this day, he knew many things were not right. He thought about those who had lied about him back when he had a job.
His thoughts turned to those who had stolen his things and cheated him. He remembered family that had passed on. His mind turned to the illness he had that no one could cure. His very soul was filled with anger, resentment and frustration.
Standing there this day, searching for answers he could not find, knowing all else had failed him, he knelt at the base of an old oak tree to seek the one he knew would always be there. And with tears in his eyes, he prayed:
"Lord- You have done wonderful things for me in this life. You have told me to do many things for you, and I happily obeyed. Today, you have told me to forgive. I am sad, Lord, because I cannot. I don't know how. It is not fair Lord. I didn't deserve these wrongs that were done against me and I shouldn't have to forgive. As perfect as your way is Lord, this one thing I cannot do, for I don't know how to forgive. My anger is so deep Lord, I fear I may not hear you, but I pray that you teach me to do this one thing I cannot do - Teach me To Forgive."
As he knelt there in the quiet shade of that old oak tree, he felt something fall onto his shoulder. He opened his eyes. Out of the corner of one eye, he saw something red on his shirt. He could not turn to see what it was because where the oak tree had been was a large square piece of wood in the ground. He raised his head and saw two feet held to the wood with a large spike through them.
He raised his head more, and tears came to his eyes as he saw Jesus hanging on a cross. He saw spikes in His hands, a gash in His side, atorn and battered body, deep thorns sunk into His head. Finally he saw the suffering and pain on His precious face. As their eyes met, the man's tears turned to sobbing, and Jesus began to speak.
"Have you ever told a lie?" He asked. The man answered - "Yes, Lord."
"Have you ever been given too much change and kept it?" The man answered - " Yes, Lord."
And the man sobbed more and more."Have you ever taken something from work that wasn't yours?" Jesus asked. And the man answered - "Yes, Lord."
"Have you ever sworn, using my Father's name in vain? "The man, crying now, answered - "Yes, Lord."
As Jesus asked many more times, "Have you ever"? The man's crying became uncontrollable, for he could only answer - "Yes, Lord."
Then Jesus turned His head from one side to the other, and the man felt something fall on his other shoulder. He looked and saw that it was the blood of Jesus. When he looked back up, his eyes met those of Jesus, and there was a look of love the man had never seen or known before.
Jesus said, "I didn't deserve this either, but I forgive you."It may be hard to see how you're going to get through something, but when you look back in life, you realize how true this statement is.
Read the following first line slowly and let it sink in.If God brings you to it - He will bring you through it.

It's a happy day...

Like the title of my post says...It's a happy day for me...I guess God was a big factor in that...I started out my day with the usual class but a friend of my tutored me on a subject that I'm really weak in...And he did teach me a few short cuts here and there...Although I'll be sitting for the make up test of that subject tomorrow, I'm not too worried...It's an open book test after all...Hehehe...And praise God that I have a friend who is so willing to help...Chun Fai...I really owe you one...
Another thing that made me happy was...Hmmm...Well...My parents bought me a car!!!My mom just called me and informed me when I was playing basketball just now...Hehehe...And we were debating whether to get the reddish-orangey one or a black one...But I guess the reddish-orangey one won...I'm not even sure what colour do you call it...But anyway...
Oh, another thing that made my day was my dinner...It wasn't an extraordinary dinner or anything...It was just in Upten...But I had it with a dear friend of mine which I think I haven't had dinner with the whole semester already...We had a lot of catching up to do...And it really brings back memories of when we used to go for dinner together a lot...Like really a lot...Hehehe...I guess I just miss talking to him...
Well anyway...I gotta get back to studying for tomorrow's test now...

I'm whole again...

Today in church, once again a wonderful thing happened...The speaker today was Pastor Ben...And let me tell you, he is really God's anointed speaker...And each time he speaks in our church, he'll always have an altar call...And as usual, I went to the front for the altar call...I felt like I needed healing and conviction once again...It's not your usual physical healing...But it's more of a spiritual healing...Lately, I just felt so dried up...And the fire is no longer burning...But today, God relit the fire...He has me burning for Him again...
As I was kneeling there before God at His altar, I could just feel that I was crying out all the hurt and all the despair that I was feeling...That I'm going through...I felt like He wanted me to pour out to Him all my problems and all my worries...And that He just listens to it all and taking it away from me...As He was ministering to me, He also asked Sue Ann to pray for me...And she told Him that she didn't know what to pray for and asked Him to guide her...And He did...He just led her to pray for the very thing that I asked from Him...For reassurance and for healing...
You know...When I questioned God on where is He in my life, when I'm going through all the hurt and suffering...All I could hear was this: "Don't worry...I'm with you...Right here by your side...Why do you not trust me?" And after Sue Ann prayed for me, after letting out all the hurt...I could hear His voice again..."Do you believe me now? That I'm here for you?"Yes Lord...Now I do...This experience has made me whole again...Thank You Lord...For making me whole again...
